Solar Panels and Interior Walls
We got the solar panel installed in the van this weekend, and we started getting the insulation and interior walls in place as well. We were able to work inside (Uncle Grant's shop is amazing!!!) and get a lot done this weekend - which was fantastic. We are headed back up north this weekend to finish the walls and insulation. It's really starting to look like a home.

I'm really impressed! Though, looking at your pics, it doesn't look like there is much room across the van. Will there be any room to sew, sleep, cook, use a laptop?
You guys are crazy! But I love you anyway! You will have to stop by and visit us.
Look at that handsome man.
How are you going to stop people from stealing your solar panel?
We hadn't decided for sure, it's bolted down and relatively heavy, so that may be enough of a deterrent (and it's difficult to notice from street level since the van is so tall). But we could put some solder around the nut on the bolts to make it a little more "permanent". The debate is that we may want to use the solar panel for something else when the trip is done, and we don't want it too difficult for us to remove. What do you think?
Put a tarp over it? You can sew a clear window into the middle.
